I (Daniel Gower) was born and raised in Minnesota. I felt a strong calling on my life to be a missionary from a very young age. In 1993, immediately after finishing high school, I enrolled in missions training school and then moved to the Ukraine at the end of the same year to begin my adventure in full-time missions.
I met Shana when she went on a short-term mission trip to the Ukraine in 1996. We relocated to Venezuela in 1998 and were married in August of that year. In 2003, we moved to Chihuahua, Mexico and the next year, a bight, blue-eyed bundle of joy named Joshua came into our lives. A year later, Gabriel was born!
In 2006, we moved to Dominican Republic and since that time have been ministering to children and families in need by partnering with our local church, children ministries and local orphanages.
In 2019, God allowed us to adopt our daughter, Mikaela.
At this time, we reside in South Carolina and take regular ministry trips to the Dominican Republic and other countries of the world. Our focus for the past year has been mobilizing Latin American believers to serve as missionaries to unreached people groups. This year we will be hosting missions conferences in the Dominican Republic and Mexico. We are also traveling to Northern Africa to develop a partnership with another team.
